Who we are

Z.Advisors (“Z.Advisors”, “we”, “us”) is a leadership advisory firm based in Massachusetts, United States. We operate this website at zadvisors.ai and decide how the personal information described here is used.

What we collect

We collect very little, and almost all of it is information you type in deliberately.

Information you give us

The inquiry form asks for your name, work email address, company or website, which area you want help with, and a description of what is not working. It also records which page of the site you sent it from. If you email us directly, we hold that correspondence and anything you choose to put in it.

Information collected automatically

• Our hosting provider processes standard request data: IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, and the time of the request. It is used to serve the site and protect it from abuse, and is kept only briefly under the provider’s own log retention.
• Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how visitors found the site, their approximate location (to city level), and their device and browser. It sets first-party cookies, named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, that last up to two years. It does not receive anything you type into the inquiry form. You can block it through your browser’s cookie settings or with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
• The site runs no advertising, session-recording or other tracking scripts.

Fonts

Typefaces are served from this site, not from a third-party font service. No font provider receives your IP address or any other information about your visit.

What we do with it

We use the information to:

• reply to your inquiry and have a useful first conversation;
• scope, agree and deliver an engagement if we go ahead;
• keep our own business records, including invoicing and accounts;
• keep the site available and secure;
• understand how the site is used, so we can improve it; and
• meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not add people who inquire to a marketing list or an automated email sequence without asking first.

Our legal bases

For visitors in the UK and the EEA, we rely on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR:

• Legitimate interests. Responding to inquiries about our services, running, securing and measuring the use of the website, and keeping business records.
• Performance of a contract. Delivering an engagement once one is agreed, and taking steps at your request before entering into it.
• Legal obligation. Retaining records we are required to keep.
• Consent. Where we ask for it separately, for example before sending anything that counts as marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Who else sees it

We share personal information only with organizations that help us run the business, and only as far as they need it:

• Hosting, Vercel Inc., which serves this website.
• Form delivery and email, Resend, which delivers inquiry form submissions to us and receives email sent to zadvisors.ai addresses.
• Our inbox, Google Workspace, where inquiries and email are read and answered.
• Analytics, Google LLC, which provides Google Analytics and processes data about visits to this site.
• Professional advisers. Accountants and lawyers, where needed.
• Authorities. Where we are legally required to disclose.

Each provider processes information on our behalf under its own data processing terms. We do not share your information for anyone else’s marketing.

How long we keep it

• Inquiries that do not become engagements, 24 months from our last contact, then deleted.
• Engagement records and correspondence, seven years after the engagement ends, to meet contractual, tax and professional obligations.
• Server logs, a short period set by our hosting provider, usually days.
• Google Analytics data, no more than 14 months, then deleted by Google.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will unless we are required to keep it.

Where it goes

We are based in the United States, and our providers process information in the United States and other countries, including Japan, where our email provider handles mail for this domain. Where personal information comes to us from the UK or the EEA, we rely on the safeguards in our providers’ data processing terms, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum to them.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to inquiry data and engagement records is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive or confidential material through the inquiry form before we have an agreement in place.

Your rights

Everyone

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email hello@zadvisors.ai and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for asking.

US state privacy laws

If you live in California or another state with a consumer privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request access, correction or deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

UK and EEA

You also have the right to restrict or object to how we process your information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we relied on it. You can complain to the data protection authority where you live, for example the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK at ico.org.uk, though we would be grateful for the chance to put things right first.

Children

This site and our services are for business audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Where a change materially affects how we handle information you have already given us, we will tell you directly.
